Mata Ortiz, Paquimé and Casas
Grandes Pottery of the Pueblo
Mississippi Clayworks is excited to
introduce pottery from our artist friends in the
village of Mata Ortiz located in Northern Mexico. The hand-made pots are
beautifully crafted using the traditional methods developed by the people
of the Paquimé Pueblos over 1000 years ago.

We are also concerned about the
exploitation of indigenous artisans in various parts of the world.
Therefore, our pueblo pottery offered for sale is purchased directly from
the potters by myself or my daughter at a fair market price
Also, 5% of our Mata Ortiz, Casas Grandes pottery sales will be donated to
the village to help with the purchase of school supplies, toys, food and
clothing for the children.

decorative use only and should not be used for food or
beverage.
